Sailors and Supporters
The sailing is complete, the sailors, race committee, volunteers, and host families have returned to their respective daily grinds. As event chair I want to thank all the sailors for joining us at Westhampton for this event. We enjoyed having you all.
Many thanks to our host families. My take is you very much enjoyed these girls. You were a large part of the success of this event.
Thanks to the Club staff and all who volunteered for your time and efforts. It really showed in the end product.
As for our Race Committee, you have now graduated to the “Big Leagues”. You produced three days of flawless racing for the competitors. The highest compliments came from the judges, a very experienced and particular group. Accolades, from this group, are very hard to come by.
To the core Committee who spent over a year attending meetings and planning this event, all our planning paid off. This event will be one to be emulated for years to come. Thank you for being patient with me and my pension for perfection.
As for me the rest home is quite comfortable, they give me three meals a day and a walk through the garden at lunch.. I expect a year or two here and I can return to normal society.
Sincerely, thanks to all for making the effort worthwhile. As I said in my opening letter I hope we have all made friendships that will last for years to come.
